Lady Gaga was on Tuesday, 23 March 2010, 7.30pm. *I know this exact timing because I pinned up the concert tickets on my foam board* It was better than I expected since I'm not a huge Gaga fan to begin with. All I can say is she can sing. I love her renditions of 'Speechless' and Dance in the Dark. Pictures stolen from everyone on Facebook. Oh btw, we weren't seated as near as we would have wanted to be so the pictures are kinda tiny. :)
The Semi Precious Weapons. WORST OPENING ACT EVER. NO KIDDING.
A very satisfied concert go-er. :) She's an AWESOME performer!
The next concert was The Fray which was on April Fool's Day at Festival Hall! Personally, I enjoyed this concert way way way way more despite idiotic and inconsiderate tall people because its... THE FRAY! :) :) :) The lead singer, Isaac Slade, sings with such passion and emotion. I love it. The opening acts, The Sundance Kids and Thirsty Merc, were sooooo good as well! Aussie bands didn't disappoint. :) Recommendations: Burn So Bright- The Sundance Kids and 20 Good Reasons - Thirsty Merc.
Okay, here is where I'm going to rant and brag (muahaha) about how I made my night enjoyable. Please skip reading this part if you have something better to do.
At first when we watched The Sundance Kids and Thirsty Merc, we were blocked by annoyingly huge ang mohs who were super tall (like 6 feet 5 I swear). They were so inconsiderate. HELLOH! Wer'e standing on level ground so people like me (5 feet 2) can't see anything except the back of your disgusting white t-shirt. Stupid huge nose ang moh. So, me, Izzie, Yee Hooi and Michele... PUSHED OUR WAY TO THE FRONT.
I felt so proud, we worked our way to the second row from the stage! We could see the beads of their sweat and everything! It was so rewarding. :) You could feel the emotion when the lead singer sang. :) :) Never Say Never was EPIC! He climbed on the piano and ohhhh, I swear, I almost felt like crying.
My favourite moment. <3 Nothing beats this.
After the concert, we walked from Festival Hall to Chilli Padi, Melbourne Central. It was actually a pretty long walk but with the amazing company we had, it doesn't seem to matter. Teehee.
On a completely different note, I'm so excited for the coming month! I am going to challenge myself. :) :) Yay! This might sound totally late, but this is going to be my year.
Happiness damn near destroys you.
